Nicole Terrizzi collaborates with nonprofits, foundations, and corporations to empower systemic change focused on poverty alleviation, K-12 education, college access and completion, and workforce development. She has more than a decade of experience fostering relationships, creating strategies, and writing grants, raising $100 million in public and foundation funds for deserving missions and organizations.

Nicole began writing as early as she can remember, filling the pages of her first journal in 2nd grade. While in college, she worked as The Simpsonian’s copy editor and reporter, winning recognition as the Iowa College Media Association’s “Best News Reporting,” and also worked for the Associated Press and C-SPAN during the 2008 election. She went on to write more than 50 feature articles for the DM Juice and the KC Ink, entertainment lifestyle offshoot publications of the Des Moines Register and the Kansas City Star respectively. Nicole has since utilized her journalism background to write winning grants and impactful stories for numerous nonprofit organizations. She is always excited to hone her craft and has taken numerous writing courses from UCLA extension and the San Francisco Writer’s Grotto.​ She is the author of the memoir Learning in Free Fall.
